I graduated from my Bachelors degree in the UK. Upon graduation, I worked in the NHS doing rotations as a Junior Physiotherapist before coming back to Hong Kong. I started off in the community delivering in-home visits for the elderly before entering into private practice. I was exposed to the world of physiotherapy from a young age, being sent to a UK boarding school at the age of 12, sustaining injuries from a wide range of sports – from rugby to hockey to tennis. From the moment I was being assessed by the physiotherapist, I really appreciated the holistic and biopsychosocial approach they took for me and my successful rehabilitation journey.

As a physiotherapist, it is so rewarding to see the smile and getting a thank you at the end of an individuals' rehabilitation journey. Knowing that you have made a difference, even if it is a slight difference in someone's life. When I went to a mentally and physically disabled orphanage in Xian China one summer, there were extremely limited equipment and resources available. The 2 and a half weeks I spent there really tested my resourcefulness, creativity and communication skills.

It was a short but definitely memorable experience that opened my eyes fully to later on pursuing a career in healthcare. I strive to use the same compassion and enthusiasm with every client I work with.
